So your TiviMate IPTV subscription isn’t working the way it should? Don’t panic. Most IPTV issues are easy to fix once you know where to look. In this guide, we cover the most common TiviMate problems in Ireland and exactly how to solve them.
1. TiviMate is Buffering or Loading Slowly
Buffering is the most common complaint with IPTV — and it’s almost always related to internet speed or network congestion.
What to try:
- Test your internet speed at fast.com or speedtest.net. You need at least 10 Mbps for HD, and 25+ Mbps for 4K.
- Switch from Wi-Fi to Ethernet — a wired connection is far more stable for streaming.
- Restart your router — unplug it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
- Change the stream quality — in TiviMate, try switching from a 4K stream to an HD version of the same channel.
- Use a VPN — sometimes your ISP (Internet Service Provider) throttles streaming traffic. A VPN like NordVPN or Surfshark can bypass this.
2. TiviMate Shows a Black Screen
A black screen usually means the stream itself is temporarily down or there’s a loading error.
What to try:
- Wait 10–15 seconds and try again — streams occasionally restart.
- Long press on the channel in TiviMate and select a different stream source if multiple are available.
- Clear TiviMate’s cache: Go to your device Settings > Apps > TiviMate > Clear Cache.
- Restart the app completely — close it from the background and reopen.
3. TiviMate Says “Playlist Failed to Load” or “Connection Error”
This usually means there’s an issue with your subscription credentials or the server.
What to try:
- Check your subscription status — contact us on WhatsApp to confirm your account is active.
- Re-enter your credentials — in TiviMate, go to Settings > Playlists, delete the current playlist, and re-add it with your username, password and portal URL.
- Check if there’s a server outage — occasionally providers carry out maintenance. This is temporary and usually resolved within the hour.
4. EPG (Programme Guide) Not Loading

If your channel list loads but the EPG shows no data or is stuck:
What to try:
- Go to TiviMate > Settings > Playlists > your playlist > Update EPG.
- Make sure the EPG source URL is correctly entered.
- Set the EPG update frequency to every 24 hours.
5. TiviMate Keeps Crashing or Freezing
What to try:
- Update TiviMate to the latest version from the Play Store or APK.
- Free up device storage — if your device is low on space, apps crash more frequently.
- Factory reset TiviMate as a last resort: uninstall the app, restart your device, and reinstall.
6. Some Channels are Missing
If you notice certain channels have disappeared from your list:
What to try:
- Go to Settings > Playlists > Force Update to refresh the channel list.
- Some channels are geo-restricted or temporarily offline — contact your provider.
